Author Guidelines
Scientia et Humanitas welcomes MTSU students (graduate or undergraduate) and alumni to submit original research for publication consideration. To ensure the review process runs smoothly and efficiently, all submissions must adhere to the following guidelines. Articles or papers that do not comply may be returned to the author for revision.
Submission Checklist
When submitting your article to Scientia et Humanitas, please ensure your submission meets the following criteria:
- Originality: The article must be unpublished and not under review by any other academic journal.
- File Format: Submit your document in one of the following formats: .doc, .docx, .odt, .rtf, or WordPerfect.
- Text Formatting:
- Double-spaced text.
- 12-point font for the body of the text.
- Italics should be used instead of underlining (except for URLs).
- Illustrations and Tables: Place all illustrations, figures, and tables within the text at the appropriate points, not at the end of the document.
- Citation Style: Ensure that your article follows the citation style appropriate for your discipline, such as MLA, APA, Chicago, etc.
- Blind Peer Review: All identifying information (such as your name) must be removed from the submission to ensure a blind peer review process.
Following these guidelines, you help ensure a smooth and efficient review process for your submission to Scientia et Humanitas. Submissions that do not meet these requirements may be returned for revision.
