Scientia et Humanitas: MTSU’s Premier Peer-Reviewed Academic Journal

Scientia et Humanitas is a peer-reviewed journal showcasing the best graduate and undergraduate research from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). Sponsored by the University Honors College, we publish both print and open-access electronic versions to highlight the breadth and quality of student research across all academic disciplines.

Our mission goes beyond publication. We strive to prepare young scholars for the professional world of peer review and academic publishing while fostering interdepartmental collaboration between students and faculty. Scientia et Humanitas is proud to contribute to public relations on and off campus, promoting the achievements of MTSU’s academic community.

Call for Submissions

Scientia et Humanitas is now accepting research submissions for its 2027 issue. We encourage contributions from MTSU students and recent graduates as independent authors or in collaboration with faculty members. Your research is welcome whether you’re studying the natural sciences, social sciences, or humanities.

Scientia et Humanitas invites current MTSU students and recent graduates to submit their original, unpublished research. We welcome submissions from the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. Our double-blind peer review process ensures impartiality, and submissions should include an abstract and follow the citation method appropriate to your field.

Deadline:

• Spring 2027: Friday, February 5, 2027
